Objective

By the end of this lesson, the student will be able to understand the basic concepts of construction trucks and their functions, as well as create their own construction truck artwork.

Materials and Prep

  • Construction truck coloring sheets or blank paper
  • Colored pencils, markers, or crayons
  • Construction truck toy or model (optional)
  • Access to the internet or books about construction trucks

Activities

  • Research and Learn: Encourage the student to explore the different types of construction trucks and their functions. They can use the internet or books to gather information and make a list of their favorite trucks.

  • Create a Construction Truck Artwork: Provide the student with construction truck coloring sheets or blank paper. They can use colored pencils, markers, or crayons to create their own construction truck artwork. Encourage them to be creative and add details to their drawings.

  • Build a Construction Truck: If the student has a construction truck toy or model, they can try to build a smaller version of it using materials such as cardboard, paper, or recycled materials. They can use their imagination and problem-solving skills to construct their own unique truck.
