Materials and Prep
- Colorful illustrations representing different activities or objects
- Paper or a whiteboard to display the days of the week
Activities

Show the student the colorful illustrations and ask them to identify the objects or activities depicted in each one.
For example, show them an illustration of a beach ball and ask them to say what it is.

Explain to the student that they will be sorting the illustrations under the correct day of the week.
Display the days of the week on a piece of paper or a whiteboard.

Start with one illustration and ask the student to determine which day of the week it belongs to.
For example, show them an illustration of a picnic and ask them which day of the week people usually go for picnics.

Continue with the remaining illustrations, one at a time, asking the student to sort them under the correct day of the week.
Provide guidance and encouragement as needed.

Review the sorted illustrations together, making sure they are placed under the correct days of the week.
Ask the student to explain their reasoning for each sorting decision.
