- Cooking ingredients and utensils
- Recipe or cooking instructions
Activities
-
Activity 1: Setting a Timer
Choose a simple recipe or cooking activity that requires a specific amount of time to complete. Explain to the student that we can use a timer to help us keep track of time.
Ask the student to set the timer for the specified cooking time. Encourage them to observe the passing of time as the timer counts down.
Once the timer goes off, discuss with the student what they have observed and how it relates to the concept of time.
-
Activity 2: Clock Face Drawing
Provide the student with a blank piece of paper and ask them to draw a clock face. Help them label the numbers 1 to 12 around the circle.
Explain that the numbers on the clock represent different hours of the day. Ask the student to point to different numbers and identify the corresponding time.
Encourage the student to practice drawing the hands of the clock to represent different times.
