Activities

  • Research and create a timeline: Use your resources to research key events in the history of civil rights. Create a timeline highlighting important milestones and individuals. Be sure to include dates and brief descriptions.
  • Create a poster: Choose one specific civil rights movement or individual and create a poster that showcases their impact and achievements. Include relevant images, quotes, and key facts.
  • Role-play: Imagine you are a civil rights activist from the past. Write a short monologue or dialogue where you express your thoughts, feelings, and goals. Act it out or record yourself.
  • Artistic representation: Choose a medium of art (painting, drawing, sculpture, etc.) and create an artwork that represents the concept of equality and justice. Explain the symbolism behind your artwork.
