Objective

By the end of this lesson, the student will have a better understanding of superheroes and their characteristics, as well as develop their creativity and imagination.

Materials and Prep

Activities

  • Create Your Own Superhero: Encourage the student to design their own superhero. They can draw the superhero's costume, powers, and write a short description of their superhero's backstory.
  • Superhero Scavenger Hunt: Provide the student with a list of superhero-related items or characteristics to find around the house. For example, they could find something red (like Superman's cape) or something that represents strength (like a dumbbell).
  • Superhero Storytelling: Ask the student to write a short story featuring their favorite superhero. They can include a problem or challenge that the superhero needs to solve using their powers.
  • Superhero Charades: Play a game of charades where the student acts out different superhero actions or powers while others try to guess the superhero.
