Activities

  1. Research and Create a Healthy Meal Plan

    Using the internet or books, research different food groups and their nutritional benefits. Create a healthy meal plan for a day, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Write down the foods you would include in each meal and explain why they are good choices for your health.

  2. Design a Healthy Plate

    Draw a large circle on a piece of paper to represent a plate. Divide the circle into sections to represent the different food groups. Label each section with the name of the food group and draw or write examples of healthy foods that belong in each group. Explain why it is important to have a balanced plate with foods from each group.

  3. Create a Healthy Recipe

    Think of a favorite dish or snack that you enjoy. Modify the recipe to make it healthier by substituting ingredients or adjusting cooking methods. Write down the modified recipe, including the healthier ingredients and cooking instructions. Explain why these changes make the recipe better for your health.
