Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to design and build a dresser using basic woodworking skills.

Materials and Prep

Materials needed: wood boards, hammer, nails, measuring tape, saw, sandpaper

Prior knowledge: understanding of measurements and basic woodworking safety

Activities

  • Design your dresser on paper, including dimensions for each part.

  • Measure and mark the wood boards according to your design.

  • Cut the boards to the correct sizes using a saw.

  • Assemble the dresser by nailing the pieces together.

  • Sand down any rough edges to make the dresser smooth.
