Materials and Prep
Materials needed:
- Blank paper or sketchbook
- Pencils, erasers, markers, crayons, and colored pencils
- Watercolor paints and brushes
- Glue stick
- Scissors
- Your favorite stories or personal experiences to illustrate
Activities
1. Brainstorm your story ideas and create a rough draft of your illustrations on separate sheets of paper.
2. Once you're happy with your illustrations, transfer them onto the pages of your storybook.
3. Use different art mediums to bring your illustrations to life - try watercolors for one page and markers for another!
4. Write your story on each page next to your illustrations.
5. Assemble your storybook by gluing the pages together and adding a cover page.
