Prep: Set up a space-themed art area with the materials listed above. Have the music playlist ready to play during the activities.
Activities
1. Create a Space Scene: Let the student use crayons or markers to draw stars, planets, and a rocket on the black construction paper.
2. Dance to Space Music: Play the space-themed music playlist and encourage the student to dance like an astronaut floating in space.
3. Space Exploration with Toys: If available, let the student play with a toy rocket or spaceship, imagining they are traveling through space.
Talking Points
- "Look at the stars and planets you drew! What colors do you see?"
- "Let's dance like astronauts floating in space. Can you float like this?" (demonstrate)
- "Imagine we are flying in a rocket ship. Where do you want to go in space?"
