Objective

By the end of this lesson, KAUATOA will have a better understanding of the importance of physical activity for maintaining good health.

Materials and Prep

Materials needed: Water bottle, comfortable clothing, open space for movement.

Prep: Clear the designated exercise area of any obstacles.

Activities

  • Warm-up Dance: Play some upbeat music and have KAUATOA dance freely for 5 minutes to get the body moving.
  • Obstacle Course: Create a simple obstacle course using household items like chairs, cushions, and ropes. Time KAUATOA as they navigate through it.
  • Yoga Stretching: Guide KAUATOA through some basic yoga poses to improve flexibility and relaxation.
  • Jump Rope Challenge: See how many times KAUATOA can jump rope without stopping, aiming to beat their own record.
