Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will learn about George Washington through art, math, and science activities.

Materials and Prep

Materials needed: pencil, paper, ruler, coloring supplies, a computer or books for research.

Prep: Familiarize yourself with some basic facts about George Washington.

Activities

  • Art Activity - Create a Portrait: Draw a portrait of George Washington using a pencil and paper. Add color and details to bring your drawing to life.
  • Math Activity - Cherry Tree Math: Research how many cherries a cherry tree can produce. Practice multiplication by calculating the total number of cherries on 5 cherry trees.
  • Science Activity - Growing Cherry Trees: Learn about the life cycle of a cherry tree. Plant cherry seeds in a pot and observe their growth over time.
