Activities

1. Dino Name Match-Up: Write down names of dinosaurs on paper and match them to their pictures.

2. Dino Coloring: Choose your favorite dinosaur and color it creatively.

3. Dino Habitat: Create a mini diorama showing where dinosaurs lived.

Talking Points

  • Dinosaurs roamed the Earth millions of years ago. They were huge creatures that looked like a mix of lizards and birds.
  • One of the most famous dinosaurs is the Tyrannosaurus Rex. It had very sharp teeth and was a fierce predator. Roar like a T-Rex!
  • Some dinosaurs were herbivores, which means they only ate plants. Can you think of a green dinosaur that might have been a herbivore?
  • Stegosaurus had plates on its back and spikes on its tail. It used them for protection. Imagine being a Stegosaurus defending yourself!
  • Triceratops had three horns on its face. It was a peaceful dinosaur that used its horns for defense. How would you feel with three horns on your face?
  • Did you know that some dinosaurs could fly? Pterodactyls were flying reptiles that lived during the time of dinosaurs. Can you flap your arms like a Pterodactyl?
