Objective

By the end of this lesson, Nova will be able to write their name with assistance and practice.

Materials and Prep

  • Whiteboard or paper
  • Colorful markers or crayons
  • Name card with Nova's name on it
  • Enthusiasm and patience

Activities

  • Start by showing Nova the name card with their name on it. Say each letter out loud and encourage Nova to repeat after you.

  • Have Nova trace over the letters of their name with a marker or crayon. Provide guidance on correct letter formation.

  • Ask Nova to try writing their name on the whiteboard or paper. Offer positive reinforcement and assistance as needed.

  • Turn it into a fun game by singing a song while writing the letters of Nova's name together.

  • End the lesson by praising Nova for their efforts and progress in writing their name.

  • "Let's look at your name card. This is the letter N. Can you say N?"
  • "Now, let's trace over the letters. Start with the letter N. Good job!"
