Objective

By the end of this lesson, Hailey will be able to recognize the letter A and engage in fun activities related to the letter A inspired by Adley on YouTube.

Materials and Prep

  • Device to watch Adley's videos on YouTube
  • Paper and crayons

No prior knowledge needed, just bring your enthusiasm!

Activities

  • Letter A Hunt: Watch Adley's videos and try to spot things that start with the letter A. Draw or point to them on your paper.
  • Alphabet Dance: Dance around while singing the alphabet song. When you reach the letter A, strike a special pose!
  • Adley's Art Time: Create your own artwork inspired by Adley's adventures. Use lots of colors, especially the letter A color - red!

Talking Points

  • Letter A: "A is for apple! Can you say 'apple'? It starts with the letter A."
  • Adley: "Adley is a fun friend who loves to play and learn new things. Just like us!"
  • Alphabet Song: "Let's sing the alphabet song together. A, B, C, D... What comes after A?"
  • Art Time: "Let's use our crayons to draw something that starts with the letter A. How about an ant or an airplane?"
