- Pencil
- Number cards (0-9)
No prior knowledge needed, just bring your enthusiasm to learn!
Activities
- Place Value Puzzles: Use the number cards to create two- and three-digit numbers. Then, ask your child to identify the value of each digit.
- Zero Detective: Hide the number zero among other numbers and challenge your child to find it. Discuss the importance of zero as a placeholder.
- Number Ordering Game: Write down several two- and three-digit numbers on paper. Ask your child to arrange them in ascending or descending order.
Talking Points
- Quotation: "Imagine each digit in a number has its own special place, just like how we have our own rooms at home. Each place has a different value!"
- Quotation: "Zero might look like nothing, but it plays a big role in making our numbers big or small. It's like the superhero of numbers!"
- Quotation: "When we put numbers in order, we are like organizing our toys from the biggest to the smallest or vice versa. It helps us see which number comes before or after another."
