Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will learn how to measure ingredients, mix them together, and bake delicious cookies all by yourself!

Materials and Prep

Materials needed: flour, sugar, butter, eggs, baking powder, mixing bowl, measuring cups and spoons, cookie cutters, baking tray, oven, oven mitts.

Before starting, make sure to wash your hands and put on your apron to stay clean while baking.

Activities

1. Measure ingredients: Practice measuring flour, sugar, and butter using the measuring cups and spoons.

2. Mix ingredients: Mix the measured ingredients in a bowl until they are well combined.

3. Shape the cookies: Use cookie cutters to shape the dough into fun shapes like stars or hearts.

4. Bake the cookies: Place the shaped cookies on a baking tray and bake them in the oven until they are golden brown.
