Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will learn how to paint with oils and acrylics and create your own masterpiece!

Materials and Prep

Materials:

  • Oil paint set
  • Acrylic paint set
  • Paintbrushes
  • Canvas or sturdy paper
  • Water cup
  • Palette for mixing colors

Prep:

  • Cover your workspace with newspaper or a plastic tablecloth to avoid spills.
  • Wear an apron or old clothes to protect yourself from paint.

Activities

1. Experiment with mixing colors on your palette to create new shades.

2. Practice different brush strokes like dots, lines, and swirls on a practice sheet.

3. Create a painting of your favorite animal or scenery using both oils and acrylics.
