Objective
By the end of this lesson, you will be able to create a fun artwork of a big wide mouth frog using simple materials.
Materials and Prep
- Construction paper (green, red, white)
- Scissors
- Glue stick
- Markers or crayons
Before starting the lesson, make sure you have a clear workspace and gather all the materials listed above.
Activities
- Start by folding the green construction paper in half. This will be the base of your frog's body.
- Using the scissors, cut out a large oval shape from the folded construction paper. This will be the frog's mouth.
- Next, cut out two big circles from the white construction paper for the frog's eyes.
- Glue the eyes onto the top part of the folded construction paper, just above the mouth.
- With the markers or crayons, draw a big wide smile on the frog's mouth.
- Using the red construction paper, cut out a long, thin strip for the frog's tongue.
- Glue one end of the tongue inside the frog's mouth, so it sticks out.
- Decorate the rest of the frog's body with any additional details you like, such as spots or stripes.
- Once everything is dry, your big wide mouth frog artwork is complete!
