Materials and Prep

Materials: A clear jar, water, shaving cream, blue food coloring, paper, markers

Prep: Fill the jar with water, draw a cloud and raindrop on the paper

Activities

1. Rain Cloud Experiment: Fill the jar with water, spray shaving cream on top to create a cloud, add blue food coloring to represent rain.

2. Raindrop Art: Use markers to color the raindrop on the paper, explaining the importance of rain for plants.

Talking Points

  • Rain comes from clouds in the sky. Say: "Look at the fluffy cloud! It's going to make rain."
  • Rain helps plants grow. Say: "Plants need rain to drink and grow big and strong."
  • Animals like rain too. Say: "Rain gives water to animals to drink and play in."
