Objective

Materials and Prep

  • Various blocks (like wooden blocks or legos)
  • A flat surface to build on
  • No prior knowledge needed, just bring your creativity!

Activities

  • Building a Tower: Start by stacking blocks on top of each other to create a tall tower. Count the blocks as you stack them.
  • Shape Matching: Sort the blocks by shapes (squares, rectangles, triangles) and create patterns with them.
  • Creating a Scene: Use your blocks to build a little town or a scene from your favorite story. Let your imagination run wild!

  • "Let's count together as we stack the blocks. One, two, three, four, and so on!"
  • "Can you find a square block? Let's see how many sides it has. One, two, three, four - it's a square!"
  • "What do you think this block could be in our scene? Maybe a house or a car? Let's add some more details!"
