Materials and Prep
- Lego bricks of various shapes and sizes

- A comfortable workspace
- Enthusiasm and creativity!
Activities
1. Build a Lego structure and write a short story about it. Use your imagination to create characters and a plot that go along with your creation.
2. Create a Lego alphabet where each letter is represented by a different Lego creation. Write the corresponding letter next to each creation.
3. Build a Lego maze and write step-by-step instructions on how to navigate through it. Challenge a family member to follow your instructions!
Talking Points
- What is a story and how can we use Lego to tell one?
- How can we make learning the alphabet fun with Lego?
- Why are clear instructions important when building a Lego maze?
"A story is like a movie in your mind. Let's use Lego to create our own movie!"
"Let's turn each letter into a Lego adventure! A is for airplane, B is for boat..."
"Just like a treasure map, our instructions will guide someone through the maze to find the hidden treasure!"
