Objective
By the end of this lesson, you will learn about basic concepts of science through fun Lego activities.
Materials and Prep
- Lego bricks of various sizes and colors
- Flat surface to build on
- Imagination and creativity!
No special knowledge needed, just be ready to have fun with Legos!
Activities
- Lego Tower Challenge: Build the tallest tower you can using only Lego bricks. Measure and compare with others.

- Lego Maze: Create a maze using Legos and guide a small toy through it. Learn about problem-solving and spatial awareness.
Talking Points
- What is Science: "Science is like solving a puzzle. We ask questions and find answers by exploring and experimenting."
- Gravity: "Gravity is what keeps us on the ground. It's like a big invisible magnet pulling everything towards the Earth."
- Friction: "Friction is like when you rub your hands together and feel them warm up. It's a force that slows things down."
- Engineering: "Engineers use their creativity to design and build things, like Lego structures or bridges, that work well and are strong."
