Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to understand basic addition and subtraction through fun activities related to your favorite Youtube videos.

Materials and Prep

Materials: Pen or pencil, paper

No prior knowledge required, just bring your enthusiasm!

Activities

  • Watch a Youtube video you like and count how many different objects you see. Write down the numbers.

  • Create a math problem based on the video. For example, if you saw 5 cats and 3 dogs, how many animals were there in total?

  • Draw pictures of the objects from the video and practice adding and subtracting them.
