Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to identify and spell words with long vowels like the character Wednesday Addams.

Materials and Prep

Materials needed: Paper, pencil, markers or crayons.

Activities

  • Draw a picture of Wednesday Addams and write her name under the picture. Pay attention to the long vowel sound in "Wednesday".

  • Think of words that have a long vowel sound like in the word "Addams". Write these words down and practice spelling them.
