Materials and Prep
Materials needed: comfortable walking shoes, a hat, a water bottle, and a small bag for collecting interesting things found on the walk.
Before the lesson: Make sure you have your walking shoes on and are ready for an adventure!
Activities
- Nature Scavenger Hunt: Look for specific items in nature like a pinecone, a yellow flower, or a smooth rock.
- Nature Sketching: Find a spot to sit and sketch your favorite plant or animal that you see on the walk.
- Leaf Rubbings: Collect different leaves and use crayons to make rubbings of their shapes on paper.
