Objective

By the end of this lesson, the student will have fun while improving their coordination, balance, and following instructions through role-playing as a firefighter and a police officer.

Materials and Prep

• Police officer hat

No other materials are needed for this lesson. Find a safe open space for the activities.

Activities

• Firefighter Rescue: The student wearing the firefighter hat can pretend to rescue a toy or stuffed animal, while the other student follows along, mimicking the actions.
• Police Officer March: The student with the police officer hat can lead a marching activity, with the other student following behind, copying the movements.
• Crossing the Street: The police officer can guide the other student on how to safely cross the street, incorporating movements like walking, skipping, and hopping.

• "Let's pretend we are firefighters saving a toy from a pretend fire. We need to move quickly and carefully."
