Activities
1. Observing Trees: Go outside and observe different fruit trees. Notice how each tree produces fruits of its own kind.
2. Fruit of the Spirit Game: Create a game where you act out different fruits of the spirit (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control) and guess which one it is.
3. Role Play: Pretend to be a tree that produces the fruit of the spirit. Act out scenarios where you respond with kindness, patience, or love.
Talking Points
- Fruit Trees: "Just like how apple trees produce apples and orange trees produce oranges, we can think of our actions as fruits. If we show kindness, we are like a kindness tree!"
- Fruit of the Spirit: "The fruit of the spirit are like special fruits we can grow in our hearts. When we have love in our hearts, we can share that love with others."
- Impact on Others: "When we show kindness to others, they often feel happy and want to be kind back to us. It's like planting seeds of kindness!"
- Choosing Our Fruits: "Just like how a tree can't choose what fruit it produces, we can choose what kind of 'fruit' we show to others. Let's choose the fruit of the spirit!"
