Materials and Prep
- Yellow dandelion flowers
- Sugar
- Water
- Small pot
- Measuring cups/spoons
- Strainer
- Adult supervision

Activities
- Go on a nature walk to collect dandelion flowers. Talk about their bright color and how bees love them.
- Pluck the yellow petals from the dandelions and place them in a pot.
- Add water and sugar to the pot and let it simmer while discussing how honey is made by bees.
- Strain the mixture to separate the petals and taste your homemade dandelion honey!
