- Before starting, make sure all ingredients are at room temperature and the oven is preheated to 350°F.
Activities
- Activity 1: Mixing the Dough

Use a spoon to drop cookie dough onto a baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until golden brown. - Activity 3: Enjoying the Cookies
Allow the cookies to cool for a few minutes before enjoying them with a glass of milk or sharing with family and friends.
Talking Points
- Ingredient Importance: "Each ingredient plays a crucial role in the chemistry of baking, from providing structure to adding sweetness."
- Mixing Technique: "Be sure to gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients to prevent overmixing, which can make the cookies tough."
- Baking Time: "Keep an eye on the cookies while they bake, as they can go from perfectly golden to burnt in a matter of minutes."
- Cooling Process: "Allowing the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes helps them set and develop that perfect chewy texture."
