2. Activity 2: California Mission Model

   Choose one of the California missions and create a model of it using craft materials such as cardboard, paper, glue, and paint. Research the mission's history, architectural features, and purpose. Use your materials to construct a three-dimensional representation of the mission, including details like the bell tower, courtyard, and living quarters. Present your model to your family, explaining the mission's significance in California history.

3. Activity 3: California Gold Rush Newspaper

   Pretend you are a reporter during the California Gold Rush in the 1840s. Write a newspaper article describing the discovery of gold at Sutter's Mill and the subsequent rush of people to California. Include details about the impact of the Gold Rush on California's population, economy, and culture.
