By the end of this lesson, you will be able to identify and describe different types of fossils in Spanish.

Materials and Prep

  • Computer or tablet with internet access
  • Pen and paper
  • Spanish-English dictionary (online or physical)

No prior knowledge of fossils or Spanish is required for this lesson.

Activities

  • Research: Use the internet to research different types of fossils such as mold fossils, cast fossils, trace fossils, and petrified fossils. Write down their Spanish names.
  • Labeling: Create flashcards with pictures of fossils on one side and their Spanish names on the other side. Test yourself or a family member on identifying the fossils in Spanish.
  • Role Play: Pretend to be a paleontologist explaining the different types of fossils in Spanish to your stuffed animals or action figures.
