Materials and Prep
- 18 photos of different occupations
- 18 separate individual cards with the names of the occupations
- 18 separate individual cards with descriptions of the occupations
- Scissors
- Glue
No prior knowledge needed, just bring your creativity!
Activities
- Create three groups of six photos each of different occupations.
- Cut out the names of the occupations from the cards and match them to the correct photos in the collage.
- Read the descriptions of the occupations and match them to the correct names and photos.
Talking Points
- Occupations are jobs that people do to earn money and help others. Can you think of any occupation you would like to do when you grow up? Remember, you can be anything you want!
- Each occupation has a special name. Let's match the names to the photos. Who do you think is a firefighter, a doctor, or a teacher?
- Descriptions tell us more about each occupation. For example, a chef cooks delicious food, a police officer keeps us safe, and a musician plays beautiful music. What would you like to learn more about?
