3. Sing and Learn: Use a catchy song about continents and oceans to help the student remember their names and locations.
Talking Points
- "Continents are large pieces of land surrounded by water. Can you point to the biggest piece of land on the map? That's a continent!"
- "Oceans are huge bodies of saltwater. They cover most of our planet. Can you find the big blue areas on the map? Those are oceans!"
- "Each continent has a name. Let's say them together: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, Antarctica."
- "Now let's talk about oceans. There are five oceans in the world. Can you repeat after me? Pacific Ocean, Atlantic Ocean, Indian Ocean, Southern Ocean, Arctic Ocean."
- "Remember, continents are where we live, and oceans are where fish and whales swim. Let's color the continents and draw some sea creatures in the oceans!"
