Objective

By the end of this 5-day lesson plan, you will be able to understand and appreciate the beauty and importance of trees in our environment.

Materials and Prep

  • Coloring pencils or crayons
  • Sheets of paper
  • Small branches or leaves collected from outside
  • Books or videos about trees

No prior knowledge is required, just bring your curiosity and enthusiasm!

Activities

  • Color a picture of a tree and its parts (roots, trunk, branches, leaves).
  • Go on a nature walk to collect different leaves and branches. Discuss the shapes and colors.
  • Create a tree collage using the collected leaves and branches.
  • Watch a video or read a book about how trees grow and why they are important.
  • Plant a small seed or sapling in a pot and observe its growth over the next few days.
