By the end of this lesson, Audrey will understand how contextual factors influence health, safety, wellbeing, and participation in physical activity.

Materials and Prep

  • Open space for physical activities
  • Water bottle
  • Comfortable clothing and shoes
  • No prior knowledge needed

Activities

  • Warm-up Dance Party: Put on some music and dance for 5 minutes to get your body moving and heart pumping.
  • Obstacle Course Challenge: Create an obstacle course using household items and time yourself going through it. Try to beat your own time!
  • Healthy Snack Break: Prepare a nutritious snack together and discuss how food choices can impact your energy levels for physical activities.
  • Yoga and Mindfulness: Learn a few simple yoga poses and practice deep breathing to relax and reduce stress.
