Activities
- Role Play: Pretend to be a superhero standing up to a bully. Practice saying assertive phrases like "Stop that!" or "I don't like it when you do that."
- Draw Your Feelings: Draw a picture of how you feel when someone is being mean to you. Then draw a picture of how you feel when you stand up for yourself.
- Story Time: Read a story about a character who stands up to a bully. Discuss how the character handled the situation and how you can do the same.
Talking Points
- It's okay to say no: "It's important to tell someone if they are being mean to you. You can say 'No, stop that!'."
- Use a strong voice: "When you talk to a bully, use a strong voice so they know you mean it."
- Ask for help: "If you need help, it's okay to ask a grown-up or a friend to help you."
