Talking Points
- Why do we need to preheat the oven?
- What role does the egg play in the cookie dough?
- Why is it important to follow the recipe measurements?
- How can we tell when the cookies are done baking?
"Preheating the oven ensures that the cookies bake evenly and at the right temperature."
"The egg acts as a binding agent, holding the ingredients together and giving the cookies structure."
"Using the correct measurements ensures that the cookies turn out just right, not too dry or too wet."
"The cookies are ready when the edges are golden brown, but still slightly soft in the center. They will continue to cook as they cool."
