- Printouts of community helper images
- Prepare a list of questions to ask about community helpers
Activities
- Community Helper Collage: Have the student create a collage using images of different community helpers cut from magazines or printouts. Discuss each helper as they work on the collage.
- Community Helper Book: Together, create a mini book about community helpers. Have the student draw pictures and write a sentence about each helper.
- Community Helper Interview: Pretend to be different community helpers and have the student ask you questions about your job. Encourage them to think about what each helper does.
