Materials and Prep
- Nature Study Backpack (filled with items like a magnifying glass, notebook, colored pencils, binoculars)
- Journal or notebook
- Comfortable clothes and shoes for outdoor exploration
- Optional: a small snack and water bottle
- Know the area where you will be exploring
Activities
- Nature Scavenger Hunt: Use your backpack to find and observe different items in nature. Write or draw what you find in your journal.
- Journal Prompts: Choose a prompt from your Nature Study Backpack and write a creative story or draw a picture in response.
- Imaginary Nature Walk: Close your eyes and imagine you are walking through a magical forest. What do you see, hear, and smell? Write about your adventure in your journal.
