Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will understand the writing process and be able to create your own well-structured piece of writing.

Materials and Prep

Materials needed: paper, pencil, eraser

No prior knowledge required, just come prepared to have fun with writing!

Activities

  • Brainstorming: Think of a topic you want to write about. Write down all your ideas and thoughts related to that topic.
  • Creating an Outline: Organize your brainstormed ideas into an outline with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion.
  • Writing Draft: Use your outline to write a rough draft of your piece. Don't worry about mistakes at this stage.
  • Editing and Revising: Review your draft, check for errors, and make improvements to your writing.
  • Final Draft: Write your final version of the piece, incorporating all the changes from the editing stage.
