Objective

By the end of this lesson, Cian will be able to identify and use different parts of speech, such as nouns, verbs, and adjectives, in sentences. He will also create a fun story using these parts of speech, enhancing his creativity and language skills.

Materials and Prep

• Paper
• Pencil or colored markers
• A comfortable space to write and draw
• Knowledge of basic parts of speech (nouns, verbs, adjectives)

Activities

• Parts of Speech Hunt: Cian will go on a "parts of speech hunt" around the house. He will look for objects and people to write down as nouns, actions to write as verbs, and describe them using adjectives. For example, "The fluffy cat (noun) jumped (verb) quickly (adverb)." This will help him understand how parts of speech work in real life.

• Story Creation: After the hunt, Cian will use the nouns, verbs, and adjectives he found to create a short story. He can make it as silly or adventurous as he wants! This activity encourages creativity and helps him practice using parts of speech in context.

• Illustrate the Story: Once the story is written, Cian can illustrate it! He will draw pictures to represent the nouns and actions in his story. This will make the lesson more engaging and help him visualize his ideas.
