Materials and Prep

Before the lesson, ensure the Minecraft game is installed and ready to play. Familiarize the student with the basic controls and features of the game.

Activities

• Build a Story Castle: The student will design and build a castle in Minecraft that represents a favorite story or fairy tale. They will write a short description of the story and explain how their castle relates to it.

• Math Mining Adventure: The student will go on a mining adventure to gather resources. They will collect different ores and keep a tally of how many they find, practicing counting and basic addition.

• Artistic Landscape Creation: The student will create a beautiful landscape in Minecraft, using different blocks to represent various elements of nature. They will then draw their landscape on paper, labeling the different parts in English and a foreign language of their choice.

• Historical Village Exploration: The student will explore a Minecraft village and learn about how people lived in the past. They can create their own historical building and explain its significance.

• Science Experiment Zone: The student will build a science lab in Minecraft where they can conduct imaginary experiments. They can write down what they would like to experiment with, such as growing plants or creating potions, and explain the science behind it.
