Objective

By the end of this lesson, Aleksander will be able to identify colors, shapes, and numbers through engaging activities using the Play Smart Skill Builders pages 1-4. He will enhance his cognitive skills while having fun and exploring his interests.

Materials and Prep

  • Play Smart Skill Builders pages 1-4
  • Crayons or markers (optional for coloring activities)
  • Space to spread out the pages
  • Comfortable seating for Aleksander
  • Time to play and explore without interruptions

Before the lesson, review the pages to familiarize yourself with the activities and concepts. Make sure to create a fun and inviting environment for learning.

Activities

  • Color Hunt

Use the color sections from the Play Smart Skill Builders to go on a color hunt around the house. Ask Aleksander to find objects that match the colors on the pages. For example, "Can you find something red?" This encourages him to explore his surroundings while learning about colors.

  • Shape Sorting

Using the shape activities, help Aleksander identify different shapes. You can draw shapes on paper or use everyday items like blocks or toys. Ask him to sort them into groups based on their shapes. You can say, "Look, this is a circle! Can you find another circle?"

  • Number Fun

Engage Aleksander with the number activities. Count items around the house together, such as toys or snacks. You can say, "Let’s count the apples together! One, two, three!" This will help him understand numbers in a practical context.

  • Creative Coloring

Encourage Aleksander to color in the pages. Allow him to use his imagination with colors. You can ask, "What color do you want to use for this shape?" This promotes creativity and fine motor skills.

Talking Points

  • "What color is this? Can you say 'red'?"
  • "Look at this shape! It's a square. Can you find something that is a square?"
  • "Let’s count together! One, two, three! Great job!"
  • "Wow, you are doing such a good job coloring! What color do you want to use next?"
  • "Can you find something blue in the room? Let's look!"
