Objective

By the end of this lesson, the student will understand the key components of Australia's legal system, how it aims to provide justice, and the role of various institutions within that system.

Before the lesson, familiarize yourself with the basic structure of Australia’s legal system, including the roles of the Parliament, the Courts, and the Police.

Activities

  • Research Project:

    The student will research one specific aspect of Australia's legal system, such as the role of judges or the importance of the jury system. They will present their findings in a short presentation.

  • Mock Trial:
