Objective
By the end of this lesson, the student will explore their own feelings, preferences, and identity through fun activities that encourage self-discovery and expression.
Materials and Prep
No additional materials are needed for this lesson. Just a safe and comfortable space for the student to explore and play.
Activities
-
Feelings Faces: Help the student create different faces using their own expressions. Ask them to show happy, sad, surprised, and angry faces. This activity encourages them to identify and express their emotions.
-
Favorite Things Show-and-Tell: Have the student pick their favorite toy or item and talk about why they love it. This will help them articulate their likes and develop their sense of self.
-
Color Hunt: Go on a color hunt around the house or yard. Ask the student to find items of their favorite color and share why they like that color. This activity promotes exploration and personal preference.
-
Movement Dance Party: Play some music and have a dance party where the student can express themselves through movement. Encourage them to dance like different animals or to show how they feel through their dance.
