Objective
By the end of this lesson, the student will understand the different animals found around Libby Lake, including birds, ducks, and turtles, and will express their observations through art and physical movement.

- Be familiar with the types of birds, ducks, and turtles commonly found at Libby Lake.
- Plan a safe walking route around the lake that is suitable for a 5-year-old.
Activities

Nature Walk:
Take a leisurely walk around Libby Lake, observing the birds, ducks, and turtles. Encourage the student to point out any animals they see and describe their colors and behaviors.

Animal Sounds:
As you walk, make sounds of the animals you see. For example, quack like a duck or flap your arms like a bird. Ask the student to join in and mimic the sounds!

Art Time:
After the walk, find a comfortable spot to sit and draw. Ask the student to draw their favorite animal they saw at the lake. Encourage them to use lots of colors!

- "Wow, look at that turtle! Can you pretend to be a turtle and move slowly?"
