Objective
By the end of this lesson, Jordan Gabriel Jasmine will have a deeper understanding of the Presidents of the USA, including their contributions, historical contexts, and the impact of their leadership on the country. Additionally, Jordan will enhance skills in reading, spelling, critical thinking, and life skills through engaging activities.
Materials and Prep
- Notebook and pen for note-taking
- Printed biographies of selected U.S. Presidents (can be handwritten if printing is not available)
- Flashcards for spelling and ASL
- Cooking ingredients for a simple recipe related to a President's favorite dish
- Logic puzzles or critical thinking games (can be created by hand)
Before the lesson, prepare a list of 5-7 Presidents to focus on, along with their significant achievements and any interesting facts. Choose a simple recipe that relates to one of the Presidents.
Activities

Presidential Biography Read-Aloud:
Jordan will read selected biographies of chosen Presidents aloud, practicing pronunciation and comprehension. After each reading, discuss the key points and interesting facts.

Create flashcards with the names of the Presidents and their significant contributions. Jordan will practice spelling these names and learn the American Sign Language (ASL) signs for each name.
