Materials and Prep

  • A computer or tablet with access to Minecraft
  • A notebook or digital document for writing
  • Pencil or typing device for writing down ideas

Before the lesson, make sure the student has access to Minecraft and understands the basic gameplay mechanics. Encourage them to think about their favorite experiences in the game to share during the activities.

Activities

  • Story Creation:

The student will write a short story about their most exciting adventure in Minecraft. They can include characters, settings, and challenges they faced while playing.

  • Character Development:

The student will create a character profile for their Minecraft avatar. They can describe their character's personality, skills, and favorite activities in the game.

  • Group Storytelling:

The student will practice sharing their story with friends online. They will take turns telling parts of their adventure, encouraging their friends to add their own twists to the tale.

  • Vocabulary Challenge:
