Objective

By the end of this lesson, J will be able to introduce their chosen piece with confidence and set the mood for their audience. J will learn how to express their thoughts and feelings about the piece in a fun and engaging way.

Materials and Prep

  • J's chosen piece (a story, drawing, song, or favorite toy)
  • A quiet space for presentation
  • Encouraging words and smiles from the teacher

Before the lesson, make sure J knows what piece they want to share and feels excited about it! Help J think about what they want to say.

Activities

  • Practice Introduction:

    J will practice introducing their piece. They can say, "Hello everyone! Today, I want to share something special with you!" This helps J get comfortable speaking in front of others.

  • Set the Mood:

    J can think about how they want their audience to feel. They might say, "I want you to feel happy and excited!" This helps J understand the importance of setting the mood.

  • Share and Explain:

    J will take turns sharing their piece and explaining why it is special to them. They can say, "This is my favorite toy because it makes me feel brave!" This encourages J to express their feelings.

  • Audience Interaction:

    J can ask the audience questions like, "What do you think about this?" This makes the presentation fun and helps J learn how to engage with others.
