Objective

By the end of this lesson, the student will be able to identify different characters from Peppa Pig, understand basic emotions, and engage in imaginative play using Peppa Pig toys.

Materials and Prep

  • Peppa Pig toys (Peppa, George, Mummy Pig, Daddy Pig, and any other characters)
  • A soft surface for play, like a rug or blanket
  • Optional: A small box or container to create a "house" for the toys

Before the lesson, familiarize yourself with the main characters of Peppa Pig and their personalities. This will help you guide the student during the activities.

Activities

  • Character Introduction

Start by introducing each character. Show the toys and say their names. Ask the student to repeat the names and share something about each character, like "Peppa loves jumping in muddy puddles!"

  • Emotion Expressing

Discuss different emotions. Hold up each character and ask the student to show how that character might feel in different situations. For example, "How does Peppa feel when she is happy?"

  • Imaginative Play

Encourage the student to create a story using the Peppa Pig toys. They can act out a scene or make up their own adventure. Ask guiding questions like, "What do you think Peppa will do next?"

  • Color Sorting

Use the toys to practice color recognition. Ask the student to sort the characters by color, saying, "Can you find all the pink toys?"

Talking Points

  • "Who is your favorite character from Peppa Pig?"
  • "What do you think Peppa likes to do?"
  • "Can you show me what a happy face looks like? What about a sad face?"
  • "Let's pretend we are in Peppa's world! What adventure should we go on?"
